Wow Am I ever going stir-crazy!!! I'm used to having my day spread allover the place, changing clothing at least once, cranking the music in my car and singing along (poorly), etc.... I don't know what to do with myself

thumb wrestling can be done one handed!
squats i think you might be able to do with minimal impact on wrist. crunches? just walking about at a brisk pace for 30 mins or so?
could bathe with baby wipes. thats what some of our more hygenic oriented people would do if we were out with limited shower access. or try to use a washcloth, like a sponge bath?

Have you thought of putting your arm & sling in a trash bag while in the shower?
And isn’t your BF jumping at the chance to give you a good friendly scrubbing? ;-)

How long is the healing time?

Probably 6 wks after the surgery in a hard cast but they won't really know till after the surgery

when is the surgery? I thought that was supposed to be done already.

Yeah that's what the er dr thought.... then I had to deal with the orthopedics office and they wouldn't even look at my x-rays until Monday afternoon so I decided to just go with Portland. Portland couldn't schedule me for an emergency appt w/o seeing the x-rays.

The hospital said 24hrs before they released the x-rays putting that at Tuesday afternoon when I'm already back in Saco. Orthopedics office schedules me for wed and will retake x-rays. Then during appt they say I should have been seen on Monday!
