Hi all,

My surgery Monday went very well.  I really didn't want to be there in the morning - mostly nerves and lack of sleep I think.  However I didn't have a choice. The nurse spent like two minutes searching for my vein and couldn't find it. Damn that hurt! Finally she turned it over to  the anesteologist who's name I don't remember but started in

Remember--no food or water after midnight for the Gremlin arm!!
Very glad the surgery went well. Sorry about the pain, but that's the price you have to pay for really good morphine. ;-)

Glad it went well. Wow 7 screws. You really mangled that thing. What is the time table for healing now? Do the screws come out at some point or are they yours to keep?

Just think, when someone says you have a few screws loose now, it is a different medical condition. ;)

Screws and metal plate are there to stay. I go next Friday and get my hard cast. then I believe it will be 6 or so weeks.

Yeah the worst of it is under the splint. I was just amazed it bruised all the way down my arm os I thought I would share...

Oh, you don't wanna know the ways they bend and prod you while you're under. :)

Glad the surgery went well. Do what the doc says for resting. Please. At least til you get your hard cast.

And stop scratching already! Sheesh!

You should have a package today. Sorry for the delay. Not like you would have read during the surgery. The extra book is just so you can be prepared. You really should know what to do in case the invasion does happen.
