Three of us got to the end at the same time.

Hey! I win for very good reasons. Because I'm special. And kind of a resource whore. Although yesterday, we were playing caps, and we decided that there should be backstories. And to make a long story short, Taylor decided that whoever was 1st was the corporate whore. And I was first for rather a long time. Alas. But its better than being homeless and eating stray cats like Taylor (he was last) or living in a box and eating the glue off of food stamps like Brian, who was second to last.

Yes though, you're right, there are reasons that you win, but it usually happens somewhat out of the blue - which is exciting and something and I'm still really tired I think, because the witty comments aren't comming.

It was beautiful. It was the proudest moment of my entire life board-game-wise. We could be at the 50th high school reunion and Beth and I will STILL be telling that story. Because it was _that_ good. Sometimes I even amaze myself.

How many times do I have to tell you that I don't backstab you? It's really more akin to stabbing you in the front, as you're aware that I'm trying to screw you over in trade.

this is true, and I did something similar this game - the reason I had 1805 points? I had 1375 in cards, had all the grain and 4/6 bronze. I did this by being a stabbity stab stab (it didnt hurt that one of the guys was blatently trying to get the worst possible hand, and was therefore making awesome trades such as "give me your shit cards for my gems, spice, bronze, grain and oh - throw a calamity in there if you can!"
