Yes we have a whole afternoon of health and safety on Wednesday. I'm thinking: rule 1) do not mix mystery chemicals to see what happens; rule 2) do not sleep on lab-benches/desk; rule 3) do not attempt to order explosives as stock etc etc

Awww :D Sounds like things got off to a busy but good start.

I'm glad your flatmates seem nice. Hopefully you'll get to know some of them quite well and can go out together. The girls in my old student house once all made a Christmas dinner together before everyone went home which was lovely.

I hope everything goes well with the reading and form sorting :) I bet you're counting down to getting into the lab now!

LOL fortunately I only had to puzzle over the hair comment for a few seconds before I got the explanation, otherwise, in my current inebriated state, I might've got very confused indeed!

I think that probably answers your question about how am I enjoying it! I just got back from a health and safety talk that ended in a quiz with free wine. Lots and lots of free wine. Fun was had :)
