Exciting stuff happening at CERN today. I am really enjoying the Radio 4 coverage, their Big Bang Day is great fun, and just one hour to go til the Torchwood special. I do love the way Who/Torchwood weave real events into their stories. It's almost like sci-fi is real.

Hmm I miss physics. If only I could do it without maths.

I have finally managed to sort out my convoluted application/acceptance problems with the University of Warwick, and today received my welcome pack (in a battered, ripped and possibly opened envelope - a sure indicator that our postman's on holiday). I have an interview at the Uni of Warwick tomorrow for a PhD position on the molecular mechanisms of plant circadian rhythms, which seems to basically involve taking all my genetics/biochem knowledge and applying it to the proteins and genes of plants.
