Tonight, I made my delicious roasted crab dip [perfect movie night dinner!] then Joe and I cozied up on the couch with a bottle of white [La Crema, my personal fave] and a brilliant film: The Life Aquatic.
First- love that movie it's just amazing. Bill Murray is just wonderful. I mean he could have went down an entirely different road with his career and he just suprises everyone with his choices. Although I will always love What About Bob and the like...
Second- I totally understand how you feel about trying not to live in the future. This is a big problem for me. I try to think about things I need to do to get where I want to be and then before I know it I have a 6 year detailed plan in front of me. Ugh.
AHHHH! Look at you and your yummy dinner and vino - right on!
And - love Eckhart! Are you/have you read any of his books? I guess I'm assuming you have... haha.
You just hang in there, girl. We're all in this together, searching for pretty much the same thing - unwavering happiness (?). But our job to ourselves is to do that best we can in recognizing that happiness within ourselves on a daily basis, instead of hoping the future will hold it for us. :)
As is my problem with most books I try to read at the moment, I haven't finished any of his books. Hah! I have the Power of Now 2009 Organizer, though. ^__^ Which is great because it kind of gives me a mantra to focus on each week.
Hehe. Don't worry. Nor have I! I'm in the middle of alll my reads right now. His newer book 'A New Earth' is really good. It talks all about our ego and how it effects everything we do and say and has just generally questioned my thought processes from ages 0-21! It's neat, though. Right on with the planner! I bet it's awesome! Have a such a good rest of your week, girl - tomorrow's Friday! You guys have special plans? <33
Cheers to the weekend!! No details yet on the plan front, but today is actually our 4th wedding anniversary and a close friend of ours birthday is this weekend, so we'll probably just chill with some pals, although this time, I think some bubbly is in order. ^_-
