The strike is over! I was lucky; I didn't have to go anywhere, so I wasn't badly affected. In fact, for me, the worst part was that since classes were canceled due to the strike, I had to send in all of my papers by email. But my American Literature teacher refused to take papers by email, so I had to pay $16.03 to mail it there before the break ( Read more... )

Well, it looks like the transit workers are going on strike.

This doesn't really affect me, since classes are pretty much over, but it does mean I'll have to mail my American Lit. paper in by post. I got to visit elspethdixon over the weekend! That was brilliant fun- we got to watch Sharpe and Foyle's War, and Gargoyles, which really needs a much better fandom than it has. I saw Serenity tonight, and well, wow That was mindblowing. Almost too big to take in all at once.
I think I love all of the characters even more now. Over all, I think I prefer the gritty closeness of the show, but this was just, well, wow.

Plus, the theater was packed, and every one there seemed to love the movie, so, yay!

I've always known that I was a little off. Not quite right.

I've got proof of that now.

Because I just looked at the picture of a small jellyfish and went "Aw, that's cute!"

I mean, I've always thought that cephalopods were pretty cool, but really. Jellyfish.
