I'm having a day. No reason, really. I love the rain, so it's not the weather. Nothing bad or negative has happened in my day. I'm just having one of those days when I don't feel like getting anything accomplished and the only beings I want to have anything to do with are my sweetheart and my kitty

This kind of reminds me. I'm making devious plans to visit NYC in the spring, can you point on a map for me where I should go for fun fabrics ;)

Yes! The garment district, where all the fabric/notions/trims stores are, is almost the entirety of the mid- to high- 30's on the west side ... about West 34th through West 39th, 6th Ave through 9th Ave, more or less. Mmmm, crowded narrow sidewalks and cramped tiny stores ... with mega-cheap merch! Can't beat that with a stick. ;)

Oh, and if you don't like a price, just say something along the lines of "Oh ... well ... I can get it for less than that in Seattle. I flew all the way out here expecting the prices to be worthwhile." Usually they'll jump at the chance to offer you a better deal. I discovered that little trick on accident.
