Nothing Exciting

The good news is that I finished three quarters of my Christmas shopping over the weekend despite having the Coughing Crud that's been going around. Today I get to wrap gifts (I only call them "gifts" when speaking of wrapping. Otherwise, they're "prizes".), which is one of my favorite parts of the season. I'm so silly about it that I go so far

That just made me laugh so hard! One of our kitties (the big one) kept picking glass balls off the tree and holding them between his big mitt paws, turning them around and around between them like he was trying to see something! Thank goodness he stopped that, now he has taken to sitting and guarding the presents.

How cute! I wonder if he was looking at his reflection. ... As soon as Luna figured out that we really weren't going to let her eat the lights, she took to sitting perched way out at the edge of "her" chair (our big comfy chair), stretching her little arm out as far as she can toward the tree, and sort of pushing down on the branches. I don't know how she'll react to ornaments. We decided not to risk it this year. One new temptation at a time! Hehe.

Try wood or cloth ornaments so she can't break 'em!

Definitely! Although she'll probably steal cloth ones and hide them under the bed like she does with all the little plushies we've given her. Kitty is a nutball. :D

I'm in a very bad insomnia bubble too.
I've also struggled with it for as long as I can remember.
I hate the fact that not even sleeping pills work. :/

I've only ever taken a sleeping pill once. Not really sure why. I guess I just figure they won't work and then I'll be groggy to no avail. My mom says I didn't even sleep as a toddler. Nifty, huh? Sorry you have to deal, too. :(

Have you tried the Kitty Christmas tree ornament pact? It has worked famously with my two fluffies.

Get kitty to raise her right paw and repeat after you:
" I, KITTY, DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR NOT TO TOUCH THE TREE ORNAMENTS"
