Landing!

I am now happily living in a small village outside of Larissa called Terpsethia. It is quite quaint, and approximately 600 people call it home. There are probably as many tractors here as there are cars, a few neighborhood stores as well as a few tavernas

Sounds like things are going well for you! I'm glad the initial shock is over, and that you've survived it.

Cassie loved the package you sent - the only downside was explaining to her that no, she did not have over $600.00. She had 600 Drachma (sp?). She still thought it was pretty cool!

I'm still slogging away at Transora - not terribly exciting right now, but it pays the rent.

Poor Cass - six hundred drachma doesn't go far here but does sound good! Glad she liked it.

I am also gald the initial stage is over - whew. I imagine with your travels you're well aware of culture shock .

Sorry to hear you're not thrilled with the job - I'm beginning to wonder if there are these types of jobs that pay so very well one could actually enjoy. Am I just getting picker in as I get older?
