This is wonderful, I would love for something like this to happen but knowing Shonda, Derek will probably start blaming himself or we won't get to see them talk about it at all :/ but thank you for this. I loved it.

I'm worried about that, too. I don't want either one of them to blame themselves; it's not their fault, and it would be so sad for them to feel guilty over it. I really want to see them talk about this though. For Shonda to just ignore it would suck. =/

I concur- can totally see Derek getting emo between the baby (if she even tells him)/ PTSD- perhaps?? .. which would actually be okay w/ me because then Shonda, lover of darkness, might give them more screen time- =P ,

Thanks, Lauren! I'm glad you enjoyed this! I really believe that there's a reason why Meredith didn't tell Derek that morning. I tried to make sense of it. For either of them to blame themselves would be heartbreaking, you know? It's neither of their faults, no matter how horrible it was that it happened. :'(

Neat idea with Derek thinking they both might have died had he known they were gonna have a baby; I've never seen it that way. I want them to talk like that later, too. That was really sweet.
