I love the thought of river-gypsyhood. I see those longboats often when I'm riding my bike along the canal and nobody ever looks upset on one of those boats. At the very least, I'd like to do a longboat holiday with Fergus sometime. Maybe you could lend us yours...

I'd like a barge holiday but without the kids. I'd be stressed if they came along worrying about them falling in the locks.
