> Jared dropped to his knees by the body that was shaking as he kneeled over an open floor safe. He caught a glimpse of the paper that Jensen had a hold of, the thin sheet crinkling from the power that held onto it. Reaching into the safe after spotting what he needed, he pulled the cell phone out and quickly called Eliza.
“No, it’s Jared,” Jared said into the phone after the call was picked up. “Yes, I know I have my own damn phone, but I didn’t want to leave Jensen,” he said impatiently. “He’s not hurt if that’s what you’re asking,” he breathed into the phone after a few minutes. “I don’t know what the fuck his problem is, he’s just shaking, and…” Jared continued, “He’s holding a red fox note.”
“Put it on speaker,” Jensen whispered, still staring at the note. He heard the cell double beep and started talking to Eliza, “The fucker was in my home,” he seethed, his eyes still refusing to leave the small sheet of paper.
“How long ago?” Eliza asks, personal feelings set aside, the agent in her taking the forefront.
“I have no fucking idea,” Jensen growls, “I wouldn’t have known about it but I was getting Jude’s personal file out to look at. It was stuck in the folder.”
“Fuck,” Eliza sighs, and Jared can just picture her rubbing her forehead like he saw her do constantly a couple days before when they were waiting on Jensen. “I’m so sorry, hon,” she whispers.
“I want my house checked for bugs,” Jensen continues, ignoring his friend, not wanting to think about the memory of Jude being touched by red fox.
“Miller and Page will be there in three hours,” she tells him, he can hear the clicking of keys from of computer as she types out the travel request. “I think it’s best if you call in today, I don’t want that bastard getting in while you’re gone and destroying evidence.”
“I’ll call the school,” he affirms, finally letting his fingers lose their grip on the paper, letting it slip back in the folder before he closes it, and lays it beside of him, “I want another photocopy of Jude’s file,” he informs Eliza, knowing there would be no way of keeping something tainted by red fox.
“I’ll send it with Miller and Page,” she promises. “Take care,” she tells him before the line goes dead. Jensen flips the phone shut before tossing it into the safe. He then pushes the lid over the safe and twists the lock, realizing that he’ll have to get a new safe too. Replacing the carpet, he groans as he stands to make his way to get his cell off of the nightstand.
“I can teach your class,” Jared shyly, softly mutters between the distance of their bodies.
Twisting around and staring at the younger man, Jensen had completely forgotten he was in the room. “I can’t just hand rein over when it’s my classroom,” he tells Jared.
“I know the stuff you’re teaching. I can even do the weird - ass - fuck - with - your - students - cause - you - can lessons if want,” Jared argues with him, watching as Jensen smiles at the mention of his lesson on wasted time, but still looking uncertain. “You know I know this stuff, besides, just give me a lesson plan, and everything’ll be fine.”
Jensen nods, “Alright,” he finally says after having an internal debate, “You might want to go get ready,” he says looking at Jared’s thin pajama pants, before looking down at himself, taking in the come filled boxers he wears, the only material protecting his body from Jared’s hazel eyes, “I think I’ll just go shower,” he says timidly, making his way around Jared, and heading to the bathroom.
Jared was early, he didn’t want to turn up late after Jensen trusting him enough to teach his class, but he’s happy he did as he gets to look at the student’s faces when they see him sitting at the desk and not Jensen. It’s almost laughable, and hell he would laugh, if he was certain it wouldn’t get back to the older man.
As Jensen did, Jared gets up from the chair, closes the door, and hands out the papers Jensen had given him, before reading off the carefully wrote instructions that were printed from Jensen laptop. He’s just thinking that this was more boring then he had earlier thought when he looks out the window, onto the campus grounds. “New plan,” he says grinning, turning to face the students, “We’re going on a field trip.”
Jared got back just as the agents, Miller and Page, were finishing their sweeps. He parked Jensen’s truck in the driveway behind the dark sedan and quickly made his way inside.
“Man, we didn’t find anything,” a guy, with his arms completely tattooed, was telling Jensen as a short girl ran a device over some of the cabinets in the kitchen, double checking their work.
“I swear to God, Went, if you missed something, you won’t have to worry about getting any of your one night stands pregnant,” Jensen tells him with a hint of a smile wafting across his lips.
“Man, you ran most of the shit yourself,” the guy, Went, replies, “Basically all Ellen and I did was read what the computer said.” At the mention of her name the short woman turns around, grinning at Jensen, as she begins packing up the device.
Jared just stands in the doorway, watching the three of them talk, and realizing that it was the first time he’s seen Jensen relax at all. “Hey,” Jensen says, his eyes darting to Jared like he could read the younger man’s thoughts, “You haven’t met these two have you?” he questions as Jared shakes his head, moving slightly closer. “This is Wentworth,” he says gesturing towards the man who stands a couple feet from Jensen. Jared walks closer, taking the offered hand and shaking it. “And that electronic genius,” Jensen tells him, gesturing behind him, “Is Ellen,” Jared nods towards her, feeling like a giant as he gazes at the small woman. “They're actually getting ready to leave,” Jensen continues as Ellen comes around them, picking up a duffel from the floor and moving towards the door. Jared turns and watches as she disappears out the entryway, presumably stashing the duffel in the sedan packed out front.
“Man, I wouldn’t hit on her,” Went tell him with a laugh, causing Jared to quickly turn his head and glance at the tattooed man, blushing like he’s guilty of something.
“What? I…no” Jared stutters, giving up as Jensen’s face lights up with a laugh.
“Anyways…” Went continues, moving his gaze to look at Jensen, “You got the file, we checked the house, and now we need to get back before Eliza thinks we’re just hanging out on the agency’s dime.”
“Take care,” Jensen says still laughing at Jared, “Give Ellen a kiss for me,” with a wink, Went’s out the door, and Jared stands there as he hears an engine start, and as Jensen’s laughing dies down. “You,” Jensen said frowning at Jared.
“I wasn’t going to hit on her,” Jared defends, his face still red, his hands waving slightly in front of his chest, and his head shaking.
“Wasn’t going to say anything about that,” Jensen says shaking his head, “However, what’s this I hear about you taking my class outside?”
Jared just hangs his head before Jensen starts laughing again. “You’re too easy,” he breathes out between cackles.
