Bathroom cabinet search!!

Sep 19, 2008 11:49

So...for any of you who have remodeled a bathroom (williedave, I'm looking at YOU!), where did you find the cabinetry?

I'm debating looking at big box shops (Home Despot, Lowes) or actual cabinet shops. I'd like to keep the costs down by installing myself (with much help!) if I can.

Any and all feedback is appreciated! Thanks!!

Try Home Decorators Catalog:

We've bought some stuff from them and been happy.

Check Cragislist too - a lot of times you'll find people remodeling who are getting rid of perfectly good stuuf just to upgrade to something newer.

With IKEA yu can also think outside the box and use kitchen cabinets for the bathroom, can be very flexible for design. I actually used the bjursta buffet and made it a bathroom cabinet....but the kitchen cabinets are a little easier than that

We haven't done the bathroom yet, but we're in the middle of a kitchen remodel with cabinets from Ikea and installing them ourselves to save $$. They are pretty easy to put together and if your house is at all level, they are pretty easy to put in. Our kitchen looks great so far!

If you don't want to go that way, I understand (from watching WAY to many HGTV shows) that buying stock from the box stores will save time and money, but you'll have less options to choose from.

Good luck
