kicked alotta ass this weekend on the bathroom. Cieling painted, walls painted, vanity connected, toilet connected, vanity lights installed outlets installed, shower curtain hung, saftey bars installed, and then a massive cleanup effort to get all the frickin drywall dust and construction mess outta the bedroom! Got the drywall all mudded and taped, and put the primer coat on. Man i hate mudding. Tomorrow i will paint and the vanity top guys coming to install the vanity. Super excited about that. Ill post pics of the colour once its on, and the vanity is in ( Read more... )

worked on some seriously needed armour repairs, and did my pell work. -100 perfect blows both left and right handed. Did some stepping movement and blow placement. Did some shield drills with my scutum in my right hand, man does that feel awkward, and exhausting who knew that if you dont train with that arm it wouldnt be used to holding it? I ( Read more... )

still working on the drywall. I got it all hung and i am on the second coat of mud. The floor heater works great, and the vanity is in place. Since i am awful at picking out colours i went to the paint store with misty and her pick out the colours. The walls are a stone-green, and the cieling is a orangey colour ( Read more... )

So after i moved the toilet from the master bath to the 1/2 bath i discouvered that the 4"waste line from the toilet was leaking. Not badly in fact the water was very clear, but leaking none the less. The good news is that this was EXACTLY why i called the plumber in to install it in the first place ( Read more... )

my dad came yesterday and we started in on the bathroom floor. We installed the easy heat cable and the thermostat. Today we layed in the hardie board as a "dam" for the self-levelling concrete to flow to. It was actually easier than i thought it mixed easily by hand and spread out like thin pudding. Gonna try to start using this as a renovation record again. The last progect was the office. The new one i started was the bathroom last december. so i tore out the old master bath (1/2 bath) and the full bath that were joined. There was massive rotting adn water damage. so the room was too nice to become my shop, so it became misty's shop. Ripped out the old ceiling and drywall, upgraded the power to three wire. built a new ceiling and support wall, installed canned lighting (thanks mark), built a sub floor installed laminate, hung drywall, mudded, painted,and installed trim.
