It's raining outside, and I think its time for an entry on a more personal note...

I can literally feel myself maturing and growing up. This year has been so revolutionary, in a sense. I'm finally beginning to grasp what it is I want to spend my life doing, and more importantly, why. I feel so much love for the people who care about me and I'm beginning to recognize and appreciate the amazing role each plays in my life. There are ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear you're feeling so positive about yourself and your future. :) Isn't it funny how doing the hard thing is what you really wanted to do all along, but you spent so long avoiding it because you thought you wouldn't enjoy it? It's amazing how you affect others the most when you are who you really want to be, living the way you want to live. I think you rock, Missy. I love who you're becoming!

haha, yes I like the subject of that post! I'm so excited to get to college! ahh! High school is the only thing I feel is hindering my growth. So I've been thinking... What about a med. major and a journalism minor?

Go for it! Actually, there's not a bad market for science journalism--SciAm, NPR's science radio (every Friday--woot!), etc. You'd be amazed how you'll just fall into what you love. I swear--I HAVE to believe in fate, how else would I keep ending up in bug jobs?

And yes, our dual slam integration is imminent. The open mic cries for our kisses.

yeah, i agree with d'averill; i wish i could say the same as well.. i just really hope that what your feeling comes to me someday.. sometimes i feel like it's right there, like if i just lift the next curtain it'll be right there and other times it feels so damn far away.. unrelatedly though, i'm really excited about our tok project we're doing together!.. it's weird cause i can totally understand what you're saying in your post, as if i've had that feeling myself before, but i know that that's the type of thing you don't exactly lose your grip on.. i dunno, i just need to get the hell out of my own way and then everything would be fine.. and just to respond further to what's being discussed here, i'd love to see you guys rehearse if schedules coincide and all that bullshit.. and of course if you don't mind my being there and all that.. it'll probably make me somewhat sad since i'm not a part of it this year and i'd love it if i could be, but i love you guys and i'm proud of you and would really enjoy being a part of it, even if my ( ... )

ahh! I love you too! I wish I could somehow teach how to reach that point, but I'm not really sure if I even know. What I thought was fulfillment last year has been far surpassed with this one. And that's not to imply that the latter was real and the former fake, but it has reached such a heightened level this year. Aww, I'm really excited to see you at school!

hey, i'm really happy you've reached that point. I guarantee you tons and tons of people aged 40 or so haven't yet reached it. So you're quite the lucky girl.
