[Quentis, Quentis, Quentis... it's not a good idea to go out of town, don't you know? You might run into Nina walking her "dog." Namely, her pet voidbeast, something she got some back home in an old event.

The beast is bipedal, about three feet tall now with proportionately long arms. It had two mouths, one of which is closed, one of which seems to be perpetually open, both filled with needle-ish teeth. It also has three eyes on the front of it's head, but it seems to be looking around stupidly at nothing in particular. More notable is that parts of it seem to be glowing. Like radioactive glowing. Patches of it, you understand.

[Well there are some things that mankind is just never going to get used to... and that's probably one of them. When she catches sight of it, Quistis just stops dead in her tracks, unable to believe what she's seeing.]

[Quistis, have a very perky blond out running too cause she's always out running. She loves running so much; as is apparent by the smile on her face.]

[Quistis smiles at the new arrival and, since it's a little hard to have a decent conversation at a full run, slows down to a more leisurely jog though she doesn't stop moving.]

Seems to be one of the best ways to get exercise around here. [At least by choice.]

One of them, yeah. Though there's actually quite a few ways to get some good exercise around here.

Really? What else is there? [Aside from sparring, and maybe swimming - she should look into getting a suit.]

[She's not the only one out and about, it seems - Squall is also taking to keeping in shape, although his is more gunblade-based.

His jacket is hanging from one of branches of a nearby tree. Guess he must not have wanted it to get all sweaty.]

[Who could blame him, sweat must be impossible to get out of leather. Still, the sound of gunblade practice aren't entirely unfamiliar to her, and when she realizes it's not Seifer, Quistis decides to take a short breather from her run. She slows down to a jog, then a walk, pulling up next to him and watching him for a few moments before speaking.]

[Squall doesn't answer right away, instead finishing what he's in the middle of before turning towards her.]

[Rydia is out and about, though not quite for the same purpose. Naturally restless, she prefers to move about whenever she can, though would not term it 'exercise.' She's wandering along, glancing up to the overcast sky. Lost in thought, the green-haired woman is ripe for a collision.]

[Fortunately Quistis is paying more attention; as she rounds a corner, she notices Rydia in just enough time to dodge left and avoid smacking into the green-haired woman. Still a fairly close call, though, and a bit startling.] Oh, I'm sorry!

[It was, and the near collision caused Rydia to stumble anyway, though she caught herself before seriously losing balance. She meets Quistis' gaze and shakes her head, expression sheepish.]

No, the fault's mine. I wasn't exactly paying attention. Sorry.

[She pauses, realizing where she had seen the woman before. It hadn't been that long ago, though a time which Rydia was still actively trying to forget.]

Quistis, right? How have you been settling in? Did you find your friends?

[How does this woman know...? Wait, perhaps she was part of that... Quistis looks confused for a moment, though a few explanations for an unfamiliar person knowing who she is come to her.]

[When Kain is not angsting, he's training in some aspect, as he's doing now. He's heading in the opposite direction facing her, so an encounter is inevitable. Slowing, he notices the woman he'd harassed during the experiment. ...Great.

[That armor is unmistakable - and not entirely welcome. Quistis slows from a full run into a slow jog as Kain becomes clear; yes, it's definitely one of the men she met during that fairly horrible "introduction" to this place, one she's not entirely happy to see. Still, Cecil hadn't been himself - it's likely this one wasn't, either.

And, well, no reason to delay.] Should I cast Haste again? [If he wants to attack her again, she wants to be gone.]

[He recalls the things he'd said to her, and would like to run and angst about it. But he won't, because he owes her an apology at the least.]
