i realise you previously stated that you're your own fave poet, but i really think that to write poetry you have to read poetry. top five poets who aren't yourself pronto. hope you're in good form. stay hip.

Takes Q's.... Kicks A's... seejae May 12 2004, 23:15:06 UTC
Flavorite poets-o-mine shall be:

E E Cummings, for his new way of saying it.
Langston Hughes, for his realism in pain.
Robert Frost, for his observation and meandering tone.
Sara Wiltshire, My friend, for her passion and longing.
and my Father, for his wisdom and trite, dry humour.

A list that includes friends of mine? Unfair?? I hope not. There are other poets that I love, but Sara's and my father's poetry I just love reading. Back at'cha. Five art-sayers ye loves. Peace, love, and happiness to you and all you love.

Many of the people I love deserve no peace whatsoever...
Okey-dokey:
John Berryman, Paul Muldoon, William Shakespeare, Charles Bukowski and the last? I'm not sure, um, Hughes? Ginsberg? Pound? Maybe Latkin. Yep Larkin. Deffo.
Speak to you soon and take care.
