Last night in Philadelphia

I'm a little bit disappointed about one thing so far in Philadelphia: the gay part of town. Since this is a fairly big city, I was expecting a vibrant gay life, a big, well identified part of town where gay people would be pretty visible and gay owned and operated shops ubiquitous. I'm going to Philadelphia for 6 days at the end of October for a meeting. I'm going to have my evenings off. Any suggestions for fun stuff to do in the city while I'm there?

Vacation over...
This year, I was a little dumb when choosing vacation time. I don't really have restrictions on vacations, the only thing I need to do is not take them when I'm scheduled to be on call. Weird...
How come, when I'm in the elevator at the hospital, there's always a REALLY cute guy going in at the same time?
Said REALLY cute guy is always wearing a newborn bracelet from the hospital or carrying all the crap his girlfriend wanted to bring in for the 48-72 hours they'd be in the hospital for the delivery.
