Sunday's overcast skies threatened of rain.  The late afternoon clouds blackened and electrified; there was not one second that a segment of sky was unlit.  The lightning continued through the ten o'clock ten-minute-torrent.  The rain subsided, but the clouds and lightning carried late into the night.
