So our landlord decided to sell her house. We have to move and she's turning the power off in three days. My dad was laid off last month and unemployment has denied him twice because his name is mixed up with someone else's. And we can't live off of my paycheck. I could, but only if I dumped my parents, which I just will not do

Can she seriously turn off the power in three days? I can't believe that's legal!

It's not. She claims we had a verbal agreement a month ago, nothing that would hold up to any kind of legal proceeding, but she just needs the money from the sale of her house and, we aren't the kind of people who hurt others to help ourselves
