All last week they were saying how terrible the weather would be on Sunday. You know, the usual:Death and Destruction on the Roadways!!! Do not attempt to leave the house for the killing sleets will get you!!! Blah blah blah blah blah

No, we have lights the whole time.
We used to lose power as soon as the wind blew over 5 miles an hour. But, since about 2000, they seem to have changed something in our lines. The only time we have lost power since then was the Big Blackout.
Don't think I'm not grateful, though!

Humphty Humph at those no show mystery-job folk. On second thought, if they're like the mystery-job folk I've known, they tend to be a little more delicate than the average person and perhaps wouldn't have functioned well after suriving the terrors of wet streets anyhow.

People who are afraid of the weather make the roads more dangerous than snow any day. And since when did MICHIGAN make a big deal out of snowstorms? I seem to remember snow happening as a pretty much regular occurrence.

It makes me shake my head every year when the first snowfall happens. I ask myself, as the guy in front of me slams on his breaks every time a snowflake hits his windshield, What? Did he forget, since last winter, how to drive in this weather? It isn't like we live in Atlanta, or something!
