The UK media is going mad about the issue of bankers' bonuses this week. Several large financial institutions have taken money from the government to maintain their liquidity during the credit crunch and these banks are now determining bonuses to be paid to their employees. The snow had set in by 4.30 today so our boss abandoned today's overtime requirement in favour of going home. We had some snow last night, but it was only about 3 or 4cm which isn't enough to hinder the roads so we were all in this morning. Work is hectic at the moment. I'm on increased hours until our project is delivered in three weeks time. There's no budget for paying the overtime but I will be able to take the hours as time off afterwards.
