I liked some of his answers to those questions, and I'm curious to see what John McCain will say to the same. But here's my problem:
I added up just the figures he actually stated for costs...
$150 billion over 10 years for energy research, $4000 American Opportunity Tax Credit, $5 billion over 3 years for pandemic, etc. concerns, $10 billion over 5 years for electronic health information
Just the above is pushing a quarter of a TRILLION dollars... Then there's the 30,000 new teachers, expanded state and local programs for this that and the other, etc. etc.
I'll agree that most of these expenditures are things we need to be investing in, but how exactly does he plan to pay for all of this WITHOUT raising taxes on every person? Because while everyone seems to be all about taxing the hell out of the "rich people", you can only get so much blood from a turnip, so to speak.
Yup, I agree with you. We need more specifics about how these will be paid for. These are things we definitely need, but I'm eagerly awaiting more info.
And yes, I'd definitely like to see McCain's stances on these topics.
