I've been living off campus at NB for two years and it's pretty sweet. Because you'd be new to NB you might want to try to coerce housing into giving you a dorm space because it may be easier to meet people. You may be able to find a space on Douglass campus in the all-female dorms. Sounds like a bummer, but Douglass is easily the most beautiful campus and it's very safe, particularly the girls-only section. Also, that's where the Marine bio buildings are

Thanks a lot Janelle, you're the first person to actually give me tangible options. A couple questions though:
Dorm life would most likely not be an option since I'll be needing a place to live for the summer anyway, so I figured it'd be much simpler if I just found a place straight out.
Would you think that living somewhere else relatively close to Rutgers would be a good idea? Like find an actual apartment in a town between HBoro and NB and then commute to RU? My mom's moving out of state so this apartment is my new swingin' pad.
What can you tell me about the Mansion? I've heard all kinds of crazy stories.
Once I know I'll let you know and give you a call. Thanks so much for all your help

How are things on your end! Give my love to everyone at umd, and I'm planning on visiting mid-October, so throw a party so I can see everyone again!
And thanks for the comment/wishes
