i got accepted to penn's advanced standing MSW program, starting fall 2008.

i'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that i will be attending an ivy league university, considering my mediocre academic history.

either way, i'm pretty excited.

today is my birthday.

the forecast is calling for snow tomorrow but i'm not holding my breath.

i found someone's wallet on the curb outside of the grocery store today and came home to look up his phone number. i called him and arranged to meet at the bank next to the grocery store a block from my house. i returned it to him and he gave me all of the cash that was in the wallet, a total of six dollars. it's only six dollars but i can't help ( Read more... )

today i took henry to the vet for his yearly shots and found out some unsettling news:

he is really ten years old instead of sixthis, of course, is obviously speculation but is strongly supported by a medical observation. henry has the beginning stages of a certain type of age related cataracts that dachshunds get. i still love him, but that's ( Read more... )
