ooo, pen pen put much effort into this post! it has a lj cut and everything in it. :p~~~ now you can show jenny what you meant by food porn. :p

holy, did we eat 10 plates? i think it was more like.. um.. 8? i forget. :p and the crabs and oysters were much more than 100 calories! just the clarified butter was well over that. :p i think the biggest difference with this visit was as we discussed earlier, we went for a more well balanced meal rather than OD'ing on heavy oily fish and the sushi. i really would like some of the mousse and cheesecake now. :(

yeah I was worried I would have to call 911 if you drank that cup of butter.

you really are crazy for butter...I was shocked when you actually dipped your crab meat in the spilt butter 8)

ah yes...it was some good shit...You know how with most buffets the food all tastes alike because they were cooking in the same wok or oven with the same oils and spices. That was so not the case with Toda. mmmmm...definitely one of my top meals I have had this year.

whoops...see I don't take the proper care in putting together my posts...that green thing was green tea cheece cake which was super tasty and creamy as well...

the coffee mouse is that chocolate thing in the background and the red item was a nicely tart raspberry mouse that offset the sweetness of the other desserts...

you should come down...gives us an excuse to go back Todai

oh and the weird brown spot in the middle of the cheesecake was a glob of red bean paste. i thought it wasn't necessary. :p it was a good thing wes grabbed two slices when they first put the cake out, b/c it got raped several minutes later. :p

didnt have a new york style pie. had dominos. josh says their thin crust is thinner than NY style. i dsagree. one day we will test this theory with a pizza showdown.

haha, ok i read this post a second time and noticed some amusing things. :p

After a fair bit of cajoling she convinced me that Todai would be the best bet.

more like i sat there embarassed and guilty for wanting to eat buffet again! :P

We pulled into Todai around 8:30 and bolted into the restaurant. Not even bothering to sit down we rushed to the buffet lines.

i distinctly remember laughing about this, b/c right after i had finished hanging my jacket on the back of the chair, i turned around and you had already ran off to the buffet lines! you totally were on a mission, i had to scurry after you. :p
