I really enjoyed this. Which was a surprise actually, because I'm not usually all that grabbed by sickDean, but there's something just lovely and relaxed and caring about this set up, and it's nice to see Dean - who obviously isn't used to that - thrust into that kind of a situation while he's not on top of his game and can't just call all the shots.

I love his kinda-big-brother way of assessing Jess and I love her slightly awkward but super well-meaning caretaking. And the cough-drop/lollipop line was wonderful!

you write jess SO WELL!!! this is so good, like all of the details about how much sam just knows dean, and them both taking care of him, and dean being so touched by all of it, oh my god! and the way that they're so hospitable and dean is like, a guest in his own little brother's place... i loooove it
