former soft communism anyone?

we took a trip to some of former yugoslavia (slovenia, croatia, montenegro, bosnia-herzegovina) last september. for some reason i've been avoiding getting my photos rounded up and prepared for viewing. i think i felt like the magic would slip away from me if i looked at them, like they were a far away memory

I'm fascinated by the Eastern bloc, so I love looking at photos of people's experiences there.

me too! that's why i wanted our first trip to europe to be somewhere in eastern or southern europe. oh, and my grandparents were from croatia. :D

okay! there's not one shot of either of us, alone or standing together. everyone on the trip always wanted to take our photos for us and when we said no thank you they though we were totally weird.

I know the feeling. That's why it's taken me ages to get to my own shots from 2 years ago. That and the fact that I do this for a living doesn't help.

omg me too!!! i sit at a computer cutting and cropping and organizing photos that i take for work. the last thing i feel like doing is sitting and doing more when i get home!

where did you go two years ago?

London, Yorkshire, and Dublin. I came into London with a group from Uni and broke off to go see friends in the other two localles after the group thing was done.
