Himchan knows that whenever Jaehyo’s crying, that he’s crying about Taeil. He knows that when he wakes up in the middle of the night, he’s desperate to find Taeil’s body sleeping beside his but knows that it’s just Himchan’s. He knows that a thousand things remind him of Taeil, and that whenever Himchan tries his best to treat him, all Jaehyo will ever be able to think about is when he treated Taeil, when they were together, before he was rejected and placed aside.

Himchan knows that if Taeil ever called, he would be dropped and Jaehyo would go back to Taeil, and he would be forgotten. He knows that it will always be Taeil, even if Himchan tries to get into Jaehyo’s heart. These things he knows. So he just pushes Jaehyo the way he will accept, and loves him whenever he needs love.

And he accepts this because he does the same thing with Yongguk, even if he tries to love Jaehyo the same.
