The army and the National Guard have always had, I think, weird taste in advertising. I was very unhappy with their graphic novel/computer game inspired ads from a few years ago where a CGI soldier achieves all kinds of stuff... it seemed they were gearing their advertisements towards 14-year old boys, and that squicks me a bit.

Today was my first trip to Haymarket. OMG How did I not know about this place?! The herbs, the produce, the cheese, the butcher.... I was just in hog heaven. I had waaay too much fun. RIP, sewing machine?
So, I finally called a few sewing machine repair places to get some rough estimates of how much a repair would cost. (I broke it back in August... right before Pennsic). Just finished watching the Hannibal prequel. God, that is creepy. Creepier than the others, with the possible exception of Verger's (Gary Oldman's) face. Ewww. But really, the dolls. Those god-damned dolls are gonna give me nightmares. That's why I usually avoid these movies ( Read more... )
