Here 'tis. I will say that the fluff requirement was WAY harder for this pairing than an angst requirement would have been, but I hope I delivered ( Read more... )

I think she is one of the characters ficcers do better than ME did, sometimes. Of course they gave themselves too much to pull off last year.

It was great (especially with the limitations given you!). And I love this Faith icon, which is why I'm, er, commenting under it instead of in the entry itself.

Ooh, I like! honorh December 20 2003, 11:55:35 UTC
Love the little touches like the run-in with the guide dog. No, they're not easily amused.

*whimper* Can't get started on mine. Bad HonorH!

Thanks!

I started this, oh, around 9:30 this morning. (I had some key parts worked out in my head, but filling in the gaps involved a lot of cursing at my poor abused brain until it coughed up something resembling a narrative.)I'm sure yours will be great.

"but then things got kind of weird and she broke up with me in Venice."

Hee! I loved that line - somehow it conjured up all these images of things that could have happened that he wouldn't have been able to talk about to a stranger.

Very cute ! Poor, evil frogs.

Yeah, they're both kind of talking around things, aren't they? I should rewrite this from Connor's side someday.

The evil frogs were Alice's idea, but I like it too.

Small, small world, that Dawn and Connor could meet and have it be plausible. (It is.)

And you snuck a little angst in there:

You don't owe your dad anything just because he's your dad.

If only he knew...

Don't worry, I won't tell. :)

Thanks. I thought a chance meeting was the easiest thing to suspend disbelief for, since canon makes a meeting between the characters highly implausible, and having him be in her college dorm or something was harder for me to swallow. I'm glad you agreed. :-)

If only he knew...

I think he does know, kind of. Or at least, I think Connor Stephenson has nightmares and strong feelings that he can't correlate to anything in the life he remembers. Hence the weirdness that lead to the breakup with Tracy, and hence his advice to Dawn.

If ME writers establish canon directly contradicting this, I will be sad.

Oh, that was sweet. I loved babysitter Dawn and Quentin was a very reall kidling. I liked this.

Quentin was a very reall kidling.

Thanks. He's about half my brother and half kids I babysat for, my husband's nieces, and other random small people. I'm glad you liked it!
