Nice (writing)!
That ray tank is awesome, I've petted the rays until the freezing water left my hands numb.
Next chapter; Kill Bill? :D

Oh, hey. Just read this article, if you remember me blabbing on about Thor being a young impulsive warrior's god and Odin being the sly planning leader's god.

A raid gone wrong, they get captured by the people they attacked and killed. Ages: teens and twenties. Heh. Eric would so be too old to go on raids.

I do remember! Well, Eric's a sly devil, and you're right, at his (allegedly human) age he must have been on the old side for such foolishness.

I really wish the flashback people at True Blood would do some research. If not on a raid, what is Eirikr doing so far away from his homestead they'd build a pyre for him in the woods instead of take him home. Battlefield? What battlefield? That would make sense if they're fighting with some neighbour village, but they're so obviously not! Eric's whole death scene makes as much sense as Godric's tattoos...

I am really loving this, even though I feel completely awful for about an hour after reading it. I especially enjoyed the last scene, with vengeful-but-eerily-calm Eric sorting out the vampires. It's such a satisfying scene, and scary at the same time.

On a side note, in entirely different circumstances I would find the idea of Eric dealing with an angry, worried mother very amusing.

Agh. That's my goal: does this make Gruochroa feel awful enough? The Eric-sorts-the-vampires was my spiritual reward for some of the rest of it.

The Eric/Carsten's mother thing... it crept into this fic. Because at some point you've got to believe that she'd be aware that she was being lied to. So I kept thinking about that, in part because, I wonder, if I keep writing them, whether Carsten ends up admitting the truth about Eric to his parents. And all that might entail.

I knew he would glamour him! The things he have been through were so bad that it's the right thing to do. Is he gonna have a feeling though, like something that happened that he can't exactly put his finger on it! Are we gonna see him remembering and accusing Eric for everything? Am I being too dramatic, lol!!!!

Loved it as always!

Er ... I can't say. To be completely honest I'm feeling a bit guilty about this fic, more so than usual. But I'll probably soldier on.

This is so overwhelmingly sad!

On the bright side of things, Eric's realisation about his love for Carsten is really warming *sigh*, and the whole thing about the glamouring felt so wrong, if only Eric could glamour himself :(

"Hello, sweetheart," that Karl is a cool dude!

Also, I have to second what Gruochrua said about Carsten's mother :)

This fic ... this fic makes me sad. I wrote myself into a corner and I can't get out. Not really.

So, yes, I'm clinging to the bits that cheer me. Karl certainly does (you know he's just *terrible*.) And the Carsten's-mother thing is fun to think about.

I really love this story. The end of this part makes me want the next so badly. And I almost feel sorry for Nils. Almost.

Well, the next part is in here ... it's called The Truth Comes Out, it's probably my most recent fic. And I'm glad you're enjoying it!
