"I've heard a bit too much about those who agree with me but yet consider themselves apolitical or just don't feel like voting, being involved, whatever. If you don't vote you're politically worthless, and if that is true than you will not be heard. don't be stupid, be an active citizen"

well voting doesnt really change anything
we dont have the power to change what the goverment is doing through voting
those fuckers will do whatever they want
look at the last election
bush wasnt elected
yet he is the current american president
im still voting
but not under some idealistic view that it will actually change anything
and im not voting because i want Kerry to be the president
im voting to get bush out of office

True. Voting doesn't necessarily change anything right away but by voting you are trying to make sure that you pick delegates that will do some sort of change for you in the end. It doesn't always happen but that's what we hope for. But to vote because you want someone out of office and not because you support the other candidate is rather ridiculous. Look at the issues at hand. And look at it this way, if Kerry is elected and something goes wrong, people are gonna say, "We should have left Bush in power." If Bush is elected again, and things go wrong, people will say, "See, Kerry was obviously the better and right candidate for this job." So vote for the right reasons. Not because you want to hop on the bandwagon as well.
