I was under tension from beginning to end, even managing to get in the head and in the emotions of Oliver and Chloe.
A chapter really impressive.
Now that Chloe was able to really put an end to the history and grudges against Jimmy can really start living again. I hope without the fear that has conditioned up to that point. I trust so much in the renewed courage to Ollie.
This wonderful story is about to end and as much as I do not feel like it, I hope you update soon! :)
Lots of emotions going on here, but I'm glad you liked this chapter.
Ending things with Jimmy is an important thing for her, even more so than Chloe thought. Oliver's presence is confusing to her right now, but Oliver's not going to keep it a secret for long.
It feels bittersweet for me too, considering I've been writing this story for almost a year. But I'm glad to see how it's turned out and I hope you like the ending!
Go Chloe! I'm so proud she got closure in everything Jimmy related. And I liked Ollie and Clark's talk a lot. Clark can be the best friend ever when he wants lol Can't wait for the dinner Amazing chapter
It was a long time coming, that's for sure, but both parties are glad to put everything behind them.
I like to think Clark's a good friend on most days. To be honest, I wanted him to have a conversation with Oliver prior to the end and this worked perfectly because I wanted someone other than Lois to tell Ollie were Chloe was.
Dinner's coming up... among other things. Thanks!
(Forgot to mention, I'm honoured by the fact you devoted a decent portion of your weekend to re-read my Calendar Girl verse. I may not get to those comments today, but thanks!)
Sadly I'm leaving on a trip in short order and don't have time to re-read or give this important chapter the attention it deserves. I will drop my favorite piece of dialogue in this entire story so far: "Hi,". So many squishy happy feelings with that one word. :D Wonderful, fabulous, loved it - hopefully I can leave more next week when I return. Thanks!
To be honest, I'm just glad that you're enjoying this. If you have more to say after your trip, that's just a bonus for me. Hopefully you had a great time and thanks for this!
I love words/sentences that convey so much more. Oliver saying Hi is a great example, but my personal favourite is the multiple usings of I miss/missed you. Granted... that might have something to do with when it's said next chapter.
There's always something emotional that I felt when you mentioned Chloe and her mother even if that was just a few words. Clark's being a good friend for Chloe and love concerned Lois. Thank you so much for the update!
It's touching to know that you feel that way when I mention Chloe's mother. Certainly not the easiest story, but an important aspect of her life. So are Clark and Lois, as I wanted to highlight all of the people around Chloe and Ollie in this.
Thanks for the feedback! Hope to update later this week.
