Madoc's song

[doin' the "proud parent" dance]
One morning about a month ago I went to wake Madoc and found him staring out his window, listening to the mourning dove. Later that day, he pestered me until I took dictation for him on the song he composed. It took a month before he would look at it and edit his rough draft. ( here's the final draft )

How beautiful.

We have mourning doves that visit us every morning when I make my birdseed offering to the nature spirits of my garden. (I always thought they were morning doves, but mourning makes more sense, given their song.)

Maybe you can sing it at Wellspring. ;)

[turns around looking behind her] who, me? [voice cracks]

maybe in a guild meeting. If we get the tune nailed down in the next day or so {the chorus is the dove's cry; the rest is still being teased out}.

As for morning/mourning, I've seen it both ways {even in scientific communities}, but I believe mourning is the consensus of the educational community.
