Did you ever read "Into the Wild" by John Krakauer (SP?) ?

People who heard the storie of Chris McCandless thought he was an idiot who didn't know what he was doing (well most people thought this), when really he just made an honest mistake.

Why did they think he was an idiot? Because they didn't understand him.

I'll have to get it again and read it with her. A co-worker of mine had let me borrow his copy a year and a half ago, insisting that I read it (he was one of those people you meet in life who just seems to know exactly what to do to impact your life eternally). I read it, and was so moved that I gave the book back promptly in case he wanted to let anyone else read it. I even felt bad for bending the cover.
