Every House of Blues is basically the same. I sat in the smoking area upstairs at the back of the HoB in Austin, TX. I got a call at around 3 am from Sampson. He only calls when a band cancels on a gig, and he only calls me when he’s out of options. I don’t always make it when he needs me, but this time I was in Galveston at the time. No big trip.
