Totally the fault of kiarasayre for suggesting River/Atlantis. I've no idea where the Inara/Weir came from.

( Atlantis is nothing like Serenity and exactly the same. )

I was trying to think about what he'd like about Atlantis, since he probably doesn't have the gene for the jumpers and I doubt they loan the 303s out for joyrides, and then it Hit Me.

I'd love to the Atlantis team's reaction when they find out what happened to River. I mean, the characters on Atlantis tend to be more idealistic, and for the most part they have governments that could not get away with what the Alliance has done. I can see Carson being incoherant with rage at the thought of a doctor deliberately doing something like that, and Elizabeth would get very quietly enraged, and Rodney would be ranting about the waste of such a great mind.

That and a scene where Ronan and Jayne compare guns.

Ooh, good point. Rose-tinted glasses are pretty much standard Atlantis issue.

Thanks! I really like them too- the whole thing that had me writing this fic was that they're incredibly compatible worlds even though they're so different on the surface.
