The Trip, Day 1

Mar 01, 2006 00:06

The Penguin Consort and I got back from our Ireland trip yesterday evening, ate some pizza, and promptly fell asleep. The trip was wonderful, and we had the chance to spend time with the spectacular stellanova and leedy, which was fabulous fun.

This week I'll do several posts on the trip. ( Day 1: Milwaukee to Dublin )

Welcome home! I've been following the posts of sightings by stellanova and leedy and it sounds like you had a great trip. Can't wait to hear about the rest of it.

Send some snow over this way, would you please? We've barely had any this year and I miss it, despite the disaster I know it'd make of my heating bill.

Thanks! You know, you can always come visit me here in Milwaukee if you need some snow. A lot of it is gone now, but I'm sure we'll see at least one more snowstorm before April.

Ooh, you've gone back into the internet! It was so lovely to meet you!

And hmm, that dumpster does look sinister....

It was great to meet you, too! Thanks so much for spending time with us and introducing us to great Dublin restaurants and pubs.

Hmmm... are you sure that's not a picture from the day before we left Milwaukee? 'Cause I think it's a picture from THEN, as it looks JUST LIKE the day before we left.

That's a VERY sinister and shifty looking Dumpster.

And HEY, who is that GIANT wearing the dashing scarf, looking like he is about to crush the wee bairn in the stroller behind him with his GIANT hands?

I mean really, the kid looks like she's looking for the brake release, or trying to get out and FLEE!

Um... because there's a GIANT in her path.

But doesn't she have the cutest little boots? hee.

Yup, I'm sure, as I was running about in buying last-minute stuff for the trip.

And the Dumpster? Totally shifty and suspicious. And it has MINIONS.

The Giant wants to thank you again for the lovely scarf, by the way.
