I had an awful lot of fun making it, f'sure!
Truth be told, a lot of what I do is based on children's stories - I kind of think that the best children's stories are better than anything written for adults, because they tend to be far less pretentious.

I love the piano music in the video and this is an extremely original presentation. I don't see that the writing alone would carry the story, though.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, though? The writing isn't supposed to carry the story, but to enhance it. Every element used in the video is supposed to combine to carry the story.

I'm sorry if my comment was unsettling. I just meant I thought the realljidol was a writing competition and so the written part should be the main thrust. I am new and still learning so please accept my apology.

Hey, I'm sorry if I seemed rude at all, I didn't mean to :/ - I really do appreciate feedback on all my work, but I've just come across an awful lot of "it's not just text therefore it isn't writing" and it confuses me - I just... I think that there's a big difference between "text" and "writing" - I've written everything that I have posted for LJ idol, and part of that writing process is that I choose to present it in a multimedia format.
I'll be elaborating on this in the morning, when it's not midnight, and I'm not kind of drunk, and I will always be happy to engage in debate and discussion over any element of my work or LJidol in general :) Please don't think I was trying to be snappish - I wasn't at all.

More serious comment - I really love this, and the casual way Mom keeps saying "yes dear" in what I imagine is a very bored tone. Nice job!

Oh, the mother is very bored indeed. Also, with regard to the handwriting comment, I was trying very hard to make it legible!! It's normally somewhat messier!
