2 of my female colleagues surprised me recently with their views on their career. They told me that they had no desire to move up their career path and were perfectly happy with their current job scope. scary isn't it? :( sometimes i wish i had an obvious talent, like poetry or something. makes it easier to decide on a a career direction.

for me its the same, i know i dont want to remain where i am but climbing too high up in the food chain doesnt appeal to me too

*Hmmm* Considering that I was exactly where I started when I started working 8 years ago, and 1 job later...

Actually I was thinking the same too. I hate to be in the situation I am in now, but am not too keen (right now) to take on more time- consuming work.

Still, there are things to be happy about in this job, so I would not complain too much.

wow, you sure have staying power! i'm with my 6th company now. not that i want to job-hop, but i kept running in situations like company closing down, restructuring..... sigh.

it's mostly like this for "youngester" like us... (youngester? gosh...)

it usually take something drastic to happen to ur life before u will start think abt ur future. for me was during tat 3 mths "jailed" at home due to my injury.
wanna be a sport reporter, those type tat write reports of sports in papers, websites, etc.

watever u wan to do in ur life, best is it's something u will enjoy day to day, else u will become zombie in ur work.
i'm sure u understand wat i mean
