Behold, broadband! I finally got around to getting high speed Internet. 10 MB/s, baby! Oh yeah! I got it primarily to play Mario Kart DS online, but I guess it works with computers, too! How about that!
Excellent! I've been wondering where you were off to...
And now that I have your attention, I will say that I am getting more hopeful about Stargate Atlantis. I'm on the 3rd disc of Season 8 of SG-1 and I can see them trying to put in little bits and pieces of the Atlantis series, perhaps to acclimate us loyal viewers to the new show. Either way, it could very well have potential.
I've mainly been off preparing to graduate from the university. I've been working on my final research paper for weeks now. Another week and a few days and I'll be done with college!
As for SG-1, which episode are you up to? The crossovers become grander as the season goes on, right up until the finale when... oops, that would be spoiling it...
Tonight I watched the episode where we are once again reunited with Carter's replicator clone / evil twin. Next is one involving the Prometheus.
I must say, I am really enjoying how the humans and Asgard are cooperating more and more as equals. They may be more highly advanced, but they realize the necessity of seeking other perspectives when it comes to survival.
Wait til you get to Atlantis. They have an Asgard crew member! She's not a fan of the limited human perspective on things though. Once she mumbled something quietly after being given an order that she disagreed with.
Near the end of the season there's my favorite SG-1 moment ever. I won't spoil it, but I think you'll know it when you see it. Hint: many many Stargates.
