Yep, 40 degrees is oppressively hot. I think the highest Cape Town reaches while I was there was in the neighborhood of 43, and you're right, there was nothing to do but sit in a cold pool. This guy there told us it once reached 56, which I just don't understand. That's over halfway to the point at which water boils. Way too hot. Also, I hear good things about Morocco, so I hope they're true and you have a good time there. And I love that your bus driver simply bent a street sign that was in the way. That's hilarious. It's good to hear that you're having fun still, if in something of a routine way.

Have you ever seen Action League Now on Nickelodeon, back in the day? It has a character named Meltman, and you totally reminded me of him.

Back in Yakima we would play baseball in black sweatshirts in 125 degree weather. Celcius!

But seriously, I thought mullets and jean jackets were cool here. I'm going to have to completely redo my summer waredrobe.

Want to switch with me? It's been cold and rainy here in North Adams! But seriously, what you need is a little less complaining and a lot more gelato eating!

Congrats on your art history joke!

Talk to you soon,
Nell
