Really, if Akito had her way. . . She would never kill her mother. Eventually, Ren would realize how wrong she was and how the bonds were eternal and how Akito had everything that Ren didn't. Then, Akito would tell her Akira's last words, not his real ones but that he loved Akito so very much and was sad to leave her, not ever mentioning Ren. That would be the time when Ren would ask to die, and Akito wouldn't kill her.

See, Ry asked me what Joshua thought of raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. . . And now she knows! Umm. . .

Actually, Akito always has a special spot for all of the older kids. They know who she is and where came from which gives them a lot on her. . . It really isn't about blackmail, though. It's just something that comes from the closest thing she has to "siblings".

Shigure was always the strange one, always was and will be. So, it got Akito's attention. In a funny way, Akito is always inquisitive and curious, but never really gets her questions answered ever. Sitting around Shigure and just watching. . . Well, it makes her not knowing feel normal.

Also, Shigure doesn't ask for favors. . . Not that anyone else does! But Akito as a child really enjoyed being able to tell Shigure that she could fix his problems! It's not like an adult that tries to cull favor with her, because I'm certain Akito doesn't like Yuki's mother in her own way along with others.
