What did you like about it? I persaly liked it, but on closer inspection I can't say that it was a vary good moive. It was pritty bad really but I still enjoyed. Not worth staying up that late.

I liked the story. It had exactly what I wanted it to have, some sort of larger thing where when you watch the first movie again, it doesn't really matter. You have to have seen it to know what's going on, but everything they thought they knew was wrong, or not entirely right.

Or we think so, anyway. If it turns out that the bit at the end was Neo's fantastical mind powers, I'll be pissed off. Actually, most of my continuing enjoyment of the second film will depend on how much I like the third. Ask me again in November.

I get the idea that he was dying at the end of the first film. He was shot twice by that electricity thing; he could have simply kept going on adrenaline for a while before croaking for good. Alternatively, he might have got killed when the sentiel bursts inside the ship, right before Neo escapes the Matrix.
