Okay, so... I’ve got a rant. About pharmacists and my reproductive rights. Feel free to skip riiight along if you’re not interested. And if you do read it, don’t flame me. You chose to read it, knowing you may be offended. (Note: Curse words sprinkled throughout. Yes, I am pissed.)

Read on... )

Amen honey. Know what's even better, is that I *DO* have a kid and I'm willing to bet money that because I'm as young as I am (22) I still can't "make my own decisions" as far as BC. Um, how about not being a drain on society and actually NOT popping out another kid? HOLY CRAP what a concept that I'm actually NOT interested in having another sproglet. But no, I'm not mature enough to tell a doctor to fuck himself and render me barren for at least a few years (IUD).

I was wondering if you were still around. Haven't seen any wedding rants lately, did you end up eloping? ^_~

Nope, no eloping. We were waiting until after our trip to Georgia to figure that out. We leave on the 4th, coming back on the 10th. Then we shall see! Don't worry, we would never get hitched without letting all our friends know! :D

I made a few noises about it to my doctor, and she didn't really brush me off but she wasn't very encouraging either. I'm waiting until after I get married to go in with my husband and present a united front, and see if that gets a more positive reaction. Once again - when that comes around, I'll keep everyone up to date.

I just wanted to rant. :) I feel better.

Well I hope that all works out for you guys.

Jared and I (are officially getting married, i have a ring now w00t!) were thinking about saying fuck it and eloping because we don't really have any need for our families to be at the wedding. Just our best friends , and I guess Trenton too... lol

We were thinking about doing a vegas wedding for fun, but I think we've decided we're going to make a trip to CA and get married at lego land :D

Haha, very cool! Almost as nerdy as getting married at Star Trek: The Experience. :D

this is a nation of goddamned morons, prudes, and whiny, immature crybabies.
I hope to God I never am refused my BC pills because of some self-righteous fundie.
Well put.

Amen KJ! Pharmacists who won't give out meds just because of their personal beliefs need their licenses revoked. Fuck them.

Amen! A doctor once refused to prescribe me the morning-after pill. Before it happened to me, I did not know that they could legally do that. I was so angry that he did that, and I did not know what else to do but sit around, fume, and hope for my period. Fortunately, it came. If it hadn't, that doctor would have been largely at fault for me becoming a teen mother.

I snuck over here from childfree, and I just wanted to add my voice to those who are saying "right on!"
