Weird Genius Mad Sceince

Went to the 3rd Annual Weird Genius Mad Science Fair this weekend. Not quite as grand as it was last year, but fun nevertheless. My two favorites were the Metamorph Booth and the Cornstarch Playpen. I'm starting to get really sleepy, but I want to get this posted, so here's the visual:

Wow, that is the coolest thing I've ever heard of/seen. How come you've never told me about these types of things before?

Um, do you still receive Netflix? Could you possibly get the 3rd and 4th seasons of The 4400 and the 3rd season of The L Word for me to watch real quick, say over a weekend, when you're not planning on watching any movies?

What ever happened to driving?

Because they are 21 and over.

The weekend is typically when I do watch movies. And I switched from Netflix to Blockbuster (because although Blockbuster is evil, they have in store exchanges which equals new movies super fast!).

Let me know when you want to start up again. Car problem has been fixed (except now I need new tires, so no driving in the rain).

Okay.

Well, during the week would be fine too. It usually only takes me like two days to watch a whole season. So if you can, I'd really appreciate it.

Now is good for me. Or anytime soon. What days/times work for you?

It was a mixture of two parts baking soda, one part water.

You sure it wasn't cornstarch? Generally you use a suspension of cornstarch to make plastic rock. We used to do it all the time in elementary school, cause it was super-cheap chemistry. You can get various levels of "hardness" depending on how much water you add. I don't think I'd have run through it, though, since it never comes off! OMG, have you tried wiping it off your hand? It's like a Chinese finger trap: the more you rub to get it off, the harder it sticks to your skin. You have to soak that stuff off. It's fun, though.

Yes, it was cornstarch. You've just reminded me that I need to fix that part (I was a bit on the inebriated side when I wrote it and put baking soda down by mistake).

It came of very easily when dipped in a bucket of water. I played with it (but just my hands, not my feet), and it washed of quite easily when I dunked my hands in water). One girl with clean, dry feet was able to run across it without getting any of the gunk on her (and did so several times before she went too slow and sank in a bit).
