I'm that way about gifts also. I kind of hate them because of the combined guilt/materialism associated with holidays and the fact that my family tends to forget things like my birthday presents for months, although they do give me a lot when they get around to it. I actually like giving gifts, but not receiving them. Ideally, I like to give them if I can not be around when they are received and if I can wrap them in silver paper

reiki seems really cool. my mom gave me a book on it because a few weeks ago this woman came to my school to do free masages. she was the friend of one of our teachers and juat offered to do it as a favor right before exams. pretty cool

hmmm what do you get a girl who isnt materialisic at all?? I have a friend Kate and well shes real nice (she wants to date my neighbor in the dorms but he hasnt said yes or no and they always hang out together so me and Dan give them both a hard time about it cause thats what friends are for) so I need a christmas gift for when I get back to school that says sorry I give you so much shit(even if she luaghs at it too) your a cool person and thanks for not hurting me for my unsubtle and occationally offensive remarks

something personal. i know for me, id way rather get a short card from someone saying what they honestly think (bonus points if its funny) than a CD or jewlery. try to think of something you can make, or something that you guys have some inside joke about.. anything that reminds me of something else means a lot to me... if that helps.
example; this year my whole family was going on about how its not cool to get an orange in your stocking anymore (everyone always gets one every year) so this year i wrote everyone a funny note on an orange with a sharpie and put it in their stocking.
