I went to Joe's wedding yesterday-I had to give a speech. Most of the guests were Japanese, so I was asked to give the speech in Japanese. I knew this ahead of time, so I wrote a speech beforehand, and got Yui to help me make it a little more formal. I talked about the first time I met Joe, and some of our adventures together. So, as some of you know...I'm applying to Peace Boat , which would give me a job teaching English on a cruise ship as it travels around the world over the course of 3 1/2 months. Played soccer for a number of hours today...I'm pretty sore now, don't even wanna think about how sore I'm going to be tomorrow. Apart from that, I've been reading golf news in Japanese to pick up the lingo. Gotta be able to talk the talk...work continues on the album. More fun adjusting volume levels.

I found myself a job...it's only for one day though. That being said, it's a pretty crazy job. There's going to be a big golf tournament here in Miyazaki in a few weeks. As some of you know, I study shuji (Japanese calligraphy). There are ranks in shuji-you start out at level 7, and work your way up to 1. Each month you can write something to be graded by the shuji association of Miyazaki prefecture, and they will determine if you are worthy of advancing in rank. So this is why I travel. To be able to see stuff like that. I was in Seoul wandering around old palaces. Stepping on floors where kings were born and died, learning about the history of these old palaces, and finally I randomly went to this one place. So, I took this picture awhile ago...never bothered pulling it off my cellphone. In Japan a lot of guys shave their eyebrows. It makes them appear....tough. Yeah. Anyway, it's strictly prohibited at schools, of course. One of my students decided to do it anyway...and they drew some eyebrows on him. Nice!
